Havarti Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 Slices Sourdough

  • 2 brussel sprouts

  • 2-6 Slices of Havarti Cheese

  • 2 TBSP Butter

  • 1 TBSP Avocado Oil/Cooking Oil

Preparation

Step 1


Fry the brussel sprouts: Over medium height in a frying pan heat the 1 TBSP cooking oil. While heating wash the brussel sprouts and chop off the ends. Then cut into slices. Then add the sprouts to the hot oil. While frying flip the sprouts ocassionally to ensure charring on both sides. When both sides are charred the sprouts are finished cooking. Remove the pan from heat and set aside.



Step 2


Grilling the Sandwich: In a new pan over low heat. Add 1/2 the butter. Once the butter melts place 1 slice of bread on top. Add cheese (2-6 slices depending on how cheesey you'd like the sandwich) to the face up side of the bread. Top with fryed brussel sprouts. Ocassionally check the bottom of the bread until browned the way you like. Top the open faced sandwich with the seocnd piece of bread. Add the other 1/2 of the butter to the pan. Flip the sandwich aiming for the melted butter. Ocassionally check the bottom of the bread until browned the way you like. Remove from pan and enjoy!
